Why use Just FX to add Streamers to your event?
Just FX has been supplying pyrotechnics and special effects for live events for over 30 years. We work exclusively with professional-grade, industry-standard equipment, and our experienced technicians handle the full process from design and supply through to on-the-day operation. Every effect is tailored to your venue, event and audience, with the flexibility to scale from an intimate theatre production to a full stadium show, indoors or out.
What are event streamer cannons and how do they work, what colours and sizes are there to choose from?
Streamers are rolled lengths of coloured tissue paper that unroll dramatically when ejected into the air, creating a striking visual effect. We fire them using a range of equipment, mainly compressed-air powered systems such as Electric Cannons, ProShots and Stadium Shots. Streamers come in Red, White, Dark Blue, Light Blue, Dark Green, Light Green, Orange, Pink, Purple and Multicolour paper, plus Gold and Silver metallic. Sizes range between 5 - 20m long, and 0.85 - 5cm wide.
Are streamers safe to use indoors, and can they be used outdoors?
The product itself is safe to use — all our streamers are flame-proofed to prevent them fuelling a fire. The equipment used to fire them, however, can be dangerous if not operated by an experienced SFX technician, as the force involved can cause serious damage to people, equipment and structures if handled carelessly. As well as being flame-proofed, our Magic FX paper streamer range is made from biodegradable tissue paper, making it suitable for outdoor use.
What types of events are streamer cannons used for, can they be fired to music or show cues?
Streamer cannons suit any type of celebration, including live events, concerts, festivals, TV and theatre productions, sporting and esports events, and film. Using our control systems, we can program streamer cannons to fire on timecode, or our experienced technicians can take live cues from a show caller to fire on the right beat.
Do you dry hire streamer equipment?
Yes — you can dry hire our equipment without an operator. Depending on the type of equipment you want to hire, we may ask a few questions before confirming a dry hire, to check that you or your team have enough experience and knowledge to use safely. Just FX cannot be held liable for any incident caused by misuse of the equipment while on hire.
